The main objective of the SMARTCHAIN project was to develop and strengthen short food supply chains in Europe. The project collected and tested innovative solutions, best practices, and digital tools to improve the sustainability, collaboration, and market competitiveness of local food chains. The project also supported producers and REL organizers through training, pilot programs, and policy recommendations.
