A rövid élelmiszer-ellátási láncok (REL) mind a termelők, mind a fogyasztók eszközei arra, hogy jobb pozíciókat szerezzenek az értékláncban, javítva a bizalmat, az átláthatóságot, az élelmiszerek minőségét és biztonságát. Az EU4Advice projekt célja, hogy megerősítse a REL-el kapcsolatos tanácsadó szolgáltatásokat a lánc szereplői számára, segítse gyakorlataikat gazdaságilag, társadalmilag és környezetileg fenntarthatóbbá tenni, a 27 tagállam SFSC-tanácsadóit egy közös hálózatba kapcsolva, integrálva a REL-el kapcsolatos tanácsadó szolgáltatásokat, eszközöket és tartalmakat a nemzeti mezőgazdasági tudás- és irányítási rendszerbe (Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems – AKIS).
